The project so far...

Davies White have been working closely with Fratton BIG Local to engage with the local community and the various established user groups to explore what they like and don’t like about Kingston Recreation Ground on St Marys Road and St Mary’s Church Yard on Fratton Road.

The first engagement session formed part of Fratton May Fayre on the Bank Holiday Monday and here we spoke to lots of local ark users abut their concerns and ideas on how the Rec and Church could be improved.

We then went away and developed ‘mood boards’ to show our design ideas on how some of these challenges might be addressed and also present some new innovative play features that could make both spaces more community friendly and appealing to local children young and old.
